DTC site Neighbor offers new outdoor dining collection

Neighbor Dining Set 6

PHOENIX – Direct-to-consumer site Neighbor is launching a new outdoor dining table collection with two new dining table options as well as Scandinavian-inspired dining chairs.

The company launched in 2020 with a modular outdoor sofa and sectional made of responsibly sourced FSC-certified teak wood.

Three former Tuft & Needle employees – Nick Arambula, Chris Lee and Mike Fretto launched the company to offer durable, design-forward and sustainable pieces – all built to live outdoors.

The furniture is all made with a modular design so it can be taken apart, added to or reconfigured. And, all the cushions are made with quick-drying reticulated foam which allows water to flow through freely and remain dry.

“The cushion covers are custom sewn with Sunbrella fabrics, a brand that’s has been outperforming and out-innovating the competition since the ’60s,” said the founders. “You won’t find a more durable and fade-resistant outdoor material.”

The new pieces include:

  • Haven dining table – A durable outdoor dining table that features a slatted tabletop and sturdy base with softened angled edges and teak grain. It accommodates most umbrella sizes and is available in two sizes, with seating for up to six.
  • Haven dining chair – A durable outdoor dining chair inspired by traditional Scandinavian design and made of responsibly sourced FSC-certified teak wood. The chair features a woven polyester rope seat, an arc backrest and arm supports.

The company uses teak wood since it has been used in shipbuilding for decades since it is a strong and durable hardwood. It has natural oils that repel water, rot, and pests and is a warm, honey color.

The square dining table and four chairs retail for $3,200 and the rectangle dining table and six chairs retails for $4,500.
